This "endorsement" has to be a satire. It uses the most stereotyped image of gay men I've seen in a long time. Effeminate, wearing effete clothing, mannerisms...this looks like a 1960s image of gay men, not the average gay man we see in 2007. I'm amazed that anyone would even consider this as a genuine endorsement. (And yes, I am a gay man in the south and I've yet to hear other gay or lesbian supporting a Republican candidate, much less Rudy.)

The clip is obviously satire -- it's not done well enough to convince that it's real -- but it nonetheless presents gay people, yet again, as political "cooties." Those are the grounds on which I find this clip offensive -- with so much dirt available to criticize Giuliani, why pick the one trait that shows he has a shred of humanity, ie. his acceptance of gays (at least until recently)?

Shame on Brave New Films for supporting gay-baiting, even when it's created by deluded gays themselves.

No wonder we on the left can't win an election. You people are too humorless to recognize satire when you see it, and the target of said satire is not those people portrayed in the clip, but those idiots who would react negatively to it and abandon Giuliani merely because he has evidenced some limited support for gays in the past.

And by the way, the characters portrayed in this clip may not represent every single gay person, but you know, and I know, that these types of personalities do exist out there, and to demand that this clip be taken down simply because they don't conform to "political correctness" is just as a homophobic as any Republican watching this who would kick Giuliani to the curb due to this video without realizing it was a satire (and believing this clip represents an accurate portrayal of the entire gay population).

And hey, you clueless people who don't read the comments: stop posting comments questioning if it is fake! Yes, it is fake. Yes, it is satire. Yes, it is supposed to make Repbulicans queasy. Looking at the comments above, I'm feeling afeard that the stereotype of the "humorous liberal" has a lot more substance to it than I ever believed. Remember what Voltaire said: "I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it." This ad is absolutely disgraceful and inexcusable, as anti-gay as anything I have ever seen. Imagine the outrage that you would have generated if you had run an ad of Black Minstrels. This is no less tasteless in these times. I don't care if it's supposed to be a "joke" or if some "gay" producer created it. You show by sponsoring this ad that you hate gays and are really just using us for your political ends, simply to discard us as "inconvenient" when it actually comes to governing. Have you no shame?

Wow -- this is a really homophobic ad, obviously pandering to conservatives' terror of gay marriage. Why on earth is Brave New Films posting this on their site? Do they agree that Giuliani should be criticized for his previously pro-gay stance?

I loathe Giuliani with every bone in my body, but I'm disgusted to see this video here. Speaking as a gay man, screw Brave New Films. This further confirms my suspicion that NOBODY IS GOING TO GET IT when it comes to equal and fair treatment for gay people.

Persuasive satire! FYI for all you people up in arms - the guy who did this film is gay! Sure gay people can be homophobic (Larry Craig anyone), but kind of absurd especially when the percieved homophobia plays into the message of this video.

Unfortunately, those not practiced at satire screw up by not recognizing the double-edged sword it is when misused. This fake ad badly misuses satire, and for that reason it backfires by not only making Guliani look bad -- which is the intent -- but also by making those who made it, and who appear in it, appear to be bigots, whether for or against the "gay" "agenda" being rendered irrelevant.

Shooting oneself in the foot is not good satire precisely because one is missing the intended target.

Are we sure this is "for real"? This is most insulting; all these people are stereotypical Gays. As a Gay woman who has been out for a very long time (over 30 years), I find this ad demeaning and just plain senseless. If this is--for real--then I would say that NYC LGBTQ people need to really do some soul searching about themselves.

I suspect, however, that this is a put-on of some sort! It just doesn't ring true. It smells bad, know what I mean? My experience with NYC LGBTQ people is that they are a very savvy group and wouldn't do something as slip-shod as this!

C'mon folks. Are you blind to what this is? Frankly, I think it's nice to see liberals and progressives playing the same dirty tricks that the Republicans have been playing since Nixon beat McGovern. Most of you are probably too young to remember Ed Muskie. Nixon's people "helped" the Dems pick McGovern, because they knew he'd be easier to beat!

While Giuliani might have policies that offend many of the neocons, he'd be one of the most formidable candidates in the general election for those same moderate views. It's to our advantage to have the Republicans field some (less electable) off the wall "I don't believe in evolution" candidate (though that didn't work too well in the last two presidential elections)!

That's why you probably have neocons funding candidates like Obama and Clinton! They may be more popular to their base, but they stand much less of a chance in the general election. The Republicans greatest fear is having to run against someone with the broad appeal that Edwards has.

I really enjoyed your 'the real guilliani' part one, but this clip is completely offensive to me, because it is obviously marketed to homophobic people who are going to vote for just another republican.
