The difference between Richardson's decision on a US Senate candidacy vs Warner or Shaheen's decision to run for the US Senate is that Warner and Shaheen are former elected officials-they are out of work. and they are unlikely to be on the National Ticket or served in a Presidential Cabinet unlike Richardson. Warner is the only Democrat that can win the Open VA Senate seat. and Shaheen is the only candidate that can unseat Sununu. In New Mexico- their is a deep bench of Democrats holding Statewide office- LT Governor,Attorney General,State Auditor,Treasurer,Secretary of State are Democrats and are likely to win if they run.

Richardson and Udall have both said they are uninterested in running for the NM US Senate Seat. Lt Governor Denish is considering a run.

My prediction is that Richardson will remain as Governor until 2010/2011. Denish gets elected to the US Senate 2008. Richardson appoints Madrid to succeed Denish as Lt Governor. In 2010- Denish decides to run for Governor- she wins. Denish than appoints Bill Richardson to succeed her in the US Senate- He wins a special election in 2012- In 2014- He retires- Hector Balderas suceeds him in the senate. He runs for President in 2016.

RUMORS FIRST STARTED BY THE MEDIA and YOUR NOT HELPING...Honestly, everybody really must be scared of Richardson to want him to drop out, and that makes me happy.

I think Richardson MUST continue his fight for the Presidency; HE IS DOING SUCH A GREAT JOB IN FACILITATING THE END OF THE IRAQ WAR!!!!

As a Northern New Mexican, I say this: Udall has my vote and full support for the U.S. Senate. He's the best for the job, and he could beat Heather Wilson. No one else could.

I don't see New Mexico ever becoming completely blue, however. Y'all ever been to Hobbs, New Mexico or Texico, right on the border?

2. Hillary, you scare us. Drop out and let an Edwards - Obama ticket win in a landslide.
